Please be aware that the majority of our activities have either been suspended or moved online until further notice due to the Covid 19 pandemic.

We look UP to God, IN towards each other and OUT to a world in need.

Activities for Children & Young People

Christ Church offers a full range of activities for children and young people.  Our full-time

Youth Pastor, Lynne, provides pastoral support to our young people and works in schools for the good of the local community.  Alongside Lynne, we have a large team of trained volunteers adhering to Child Protection guidelines.  We offer the following:

During the 10am Sunday service, a crèche is provided with a live TV link to the church service and toys and helpers available.  You can drop your little one off at the start of the service or bring the child out and stay with them if you prefer.  The first Sunday of the month and throughout the summer, church services are ‘All-age’ so if you want to try Christ Church as a family, that is a good time to stay and see what happens.

JAM (Jesus And Me)

This is our Sunday morning group for infants and juniors.  It starts at 10am and finishes at around 11.30am.

Activities include games, crafts, songs, drama – all aimed at having fun and learning about Jesus!

If you want, you can drop your children off and collect them after church or stay at the service and enjoy Sunday morning worship.

For secondary school children, we run another Sunday morning group called Footfinders (there is a long story behind this name – just ask!).   The group offers a varied programme and enables young people to express their views and develop their own understanding while having fun and enjoying friendships!

Youth Club is our mid-week youth group for school years 6-8.

Every 2nd and 4th Wednesday, term-time, 6.15 – 7.30pm in the Parish Hall.

We recognise our responsibilities to safeguard the welfare of children and young people by protecting them from physical, sexual or emotional abuse and to this end we work to a child protection policy which was reviewed in May 2010.This policy states our activities, roles and responsibilities in this area and gives contact details of our youth worker and designated child protection officer.
Should you wish to see a copy of this it can be requested from the Parish Administrator.
