Activities for Children & Young People
Christ Church offers a full range of activities for children and young people. Our full-time
Youth Worker, Lynne, provides pastoral support to our young people and works in schools for the good of the local community. Alongside Lynne, we have a large team of trained volunteers adhering to Child Protection guidelines. We offer the following:
During the 10am Sunday service, a crèche is provided with a live TV link to the church service and toys and helpers available. You can drop your little one off at the start of the service or bring the child out and stay with them if you prefer. The first Sunday of the month and throughout the summer, church services are ‘All-age’ so if you want to try Christ Church as a family, that is a good time to stay and see what happens.
JAM (Jesus And Me)
This is our Sunday morning group for infants and juniors. It starts at 10am and finishes at 11.30am.
Activities include games, crafts, songs, drama – all aimed at having fun and learning about Jesus!
If you want, you can drop your children off and collect them after church or stay at the service and enjoy Sunday morning worship.
For secondary school children, we run another Sunday morning group called Footfinders (there is a long story behind this name – just ask!). The group offers a varied programme and enables young people to express their views and develop their own understanding while having fun and enjoying friendships!
